PERSONALITY

I hope you weren't looking for me to be the voice of reason. I keep a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret.

POSITIVE. Dedicated, intelligent, charismatic. Holds the well-being of his country above all else. Although he's willing to make the hard choices, he is "kind when he might have been cruel".

NEUTRAL. Ambitious, calculated, loquacious. Extremely socially adept, able to present whatever persona he wants others to see. Loves to hear himself talk.

NEGATIVE. Brash, manipulative, self-doubting. Changes personalities "the way other people change hats". Often scheming. Has a habit of being annoying.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Not bad looking? He's damnably handsome. Brave in battle, smart as a whip. An excellent dancer, oh, and an even better shot.

VISUAL. Tall, approximately 188cm or 6'2". Handsome features like a "fairy tale prince", with a slightly crooked nose. Dark gold hair, cut neat and short. Hazel eyes. Semi-permanent smirk. Wears gloves on his hands to hide the scars on his fingers where his talons grew, with the common explanation that he suffered torture to his hands at the hands of the Darkling.

DEMEANOR. A calculated politician, he changes roles based on his audience. Sometimes an easygoing friend, other times an overconfident privateer or a polished prince. He's usually unflappable and always charismatic.

AURAL. Privateer, actually.

ABILITIES & SKILLS

MAJOR

After serving as a Major in Ravka's First Army, Nikolai is proficient with swords, guns, and fists and has an eye for military strategy.

NAVIGATOR

As the ~~pirate~~ privateer Sturmhond, Nikolai is a gifted sailor. Aside from traditional ships, he can also pilot airships and fighter planes.

CLEVER

Nikolai has a passion for inventing, capable of designing and building even a flying craft. He spent his time away from the Grand Palace as an apprentice with a shipwright, a civil engineer, and a gunsmith, honing his skills. He's also a natural diplomat and leader whose charisma makes it easy for him to persuade or manipulate.

MONSTER

Nikolai is cursed with a beastly form with wings, fangs, and talons that comes out at night to feed. In later canon, he is able to manifest this form at will and remain conscious.

CANON POINT. I prefer to play from the books, although I don't mind incorporating the show in! Default to King of Scars era, especially with cross-canon, but I'm down for anything.
